Although her martial arts career began over 20 years ago with informal training in the Judo and Kenpo disciplines, Kelli Snowberger is a 4th Degree Black Belt in both Tae Kwon Do & Karate Do and has been studying those disciplines for over 12 years. Although she and her husband, Jim, co-founded the Snow's Open Style Martial Arts Association and their school Snow's Tae Kwon Do & Karate Do, her personal training interests do not limit her to one particular discipline or art. She's continually attending seminars and training camps throughout the United States to learn new systems, arts and disciplines.
She is an Indiana State Director for the International Martial Arts Council under the direction of Professor Marty Cale, an Indiana State Director for the US National Martial Arts Alliance under the direction of Dr. Jim Thomas and is an active training coach for the US National Martial Arts Team also under Dr. Thomas' direction. Mrs. Snowberger also belongs to the Ne-Du-U-Kon-Tae Karate Kung Fu Federation under direction of Grand Master Rod Kauffman, the United States Martial Arts Association under direction of O'Sensei Philip Porter and the Karate For Christ Organization under the direction of Dr. Darryl Covington.
Kelli is the founder and primary instructor of the P.R.I.D.E. (Providing Readiness by Instilling Defensive Efforts) program which has been used in Indiana State law enforcement training sessions for domestic violence prevention. She is currently creating an alliance with state Law enforcement agencies to help create a statewide personal protection program. Her affiliation with the Wild Heart Organization is another proud association; the Wild Heart Organization is a survivor's educational program for domestic violence.
When she is not busy teaching martial arts or self-defense, Kelli enjoys reading, music, writing poetry and outdoor activities.
